Evaluation of Six Pigeonpea Pre-breeding Lines

Six high-yielding pigeonpea pre-breeding lines derived from wild Cajanus species at ICRISAT were proposed for initial varietal trials by the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP). The six lines will be evaluated across 21 locations in central and southern India during the 2019-2020 crop season.

This work is part of the CWR Project “Adapting Agriculture to Climate Change: Collecting, Protecting and Preparing Crop Wild Relatives” which is funded by the Norwegian Government, and coordinated by the Crop Trust with the Millennium Seed Bank, Kew.
