The Plant Genetic Resources Institute (PGRI), with administrative support from the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), coordinates collecting efforts in Pakistan.

Collectors from PGRI will target crop wild relatives in the gene pools of 18 crops: wheat, oat, pigeon pea, chickpea, carrot, finger millet, barley, sweet potato, grass pea, lentil, apple, alfalfa, rice, pearl millet, rye, eggplant, sorghum and vetch. Collecting will take place during the project period 2016 – 2017.
